Job Type: Long-term ongoing (Part Time)
Shift Pattern: We are currently looking for reliable part time HGV Class 1 drivers who are available to work Monday and Friday.
Start time windows:
- 11:00
- 15:00
- 19:00
- Midnight
- Midnight 03:00
Average shift length: 10-12 hours (guaranteed 8 hours)
Pay Rates:
- Weeks 1-12 (Including Rolled Up Holiday Pay)
- Day Shift: £19.88
- Night Shift: £20.16
- Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): £20.16
- 13+ Weeks (Including Rolled Up Holiday Pay)
- Day Shift: £20.16
- Night Shift: £20.73
- 6th Day: £30.28
- 6th Night: £31.13
- Bank Holiday Day: £40.38
- Bank Holiday Night: £41.52
Key Responsibilities:
- Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels containing high-value goods.
- Collecting high-value goods from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
- Occasional handling of push roller cages as required.
- Carrying out precise reversing and manoeuvring in yards, including shunting duties when required.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 (C+E) entitlement.
- Availability to work Monday and Friday.
- Flexibility with start times from the available windows above.
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum of 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Successful completion of assessment (theory & practical).
- Understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
