The predicted salary is between 33 - 33 £ per hour.
We are looking for a skilled Inspection / CMM Programmer to join our quality team, working on high-performance components including products within our F1 range. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, quality, and documentation throughout the inspection process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general inspection duties as directed by the Principal Inspector and as detailed on Product Inspection Requests (PIRs).
- Verify supplier ISIRs (Initial Sample Inspection Reports), including dimensional, material, or process-related checks.
- Liaise with Engineering, SQA, and Quality teams to resolve product or supplier issues.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to create ISIR documentation.
- Use hand measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and shadowgraphs.
- Program CMM machines (Calypso or PC-DMIS software preferred) for F1 product inspections.
- Support the use of 3D scanning and surface finish equipment (experience desirable but not essential).
- Maintain accurate and timely inspection records and documentation.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
- Support other teams with measurement or quality-related issues as required.
About You
- Proven experience in an inspection or quality control role within precision engineering or automotive/manufacturing.
- Strong CMM programming skills (Calypso or PC-DMIS ideal).
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with manual measurement tools.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge or experience of working with F1 or motorsport components is advantageous.
