A long-established roofing contractor with over 45 years experience is looking for a Trainee Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. The business delivers commercial and industrial roofing projects nationwide and offers a friendly, supportive and down-to-earth working environment with excellent long-term progression.
The Role
This is a full training role where you will learn how to support tenders, pricing and pre-construction activities across refurbishment and flat roofing schemes. You will gain hands-on experience with measurements, pricing schedules, supplier enquiries and tender documentation, working on projects ranging from £50k to £3m.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting quantity take-offs and measurements
- Helping prepare tender documents, pricing schedules and cost plans
- Requesting and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Assisting with scope summaries, clarifications and value engineering options
- Working on roofing and refurbishment tenders across Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial and Public Sector projects
