We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment in Corby.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality professional with manufacturing experience to take on a hands-on role covering product inspection, testing, measurement, problem solving, auditing and continuous improvement.
Working as part of the Quality Team, you will help ensure that products consistently meet customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Carry out product inspection, testing and measurement activities.
Ensure quality control activities are completed accurately and in accordance with procedures.
Support PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA and SQA activities.
Assist with Process FMEA development, risk assessment and mitigation actions.
Investigate customer complaints and implement effective containment and corrective actions.
Carry out root cause analysis and develop short- and long-term countermeasures.
Introduce and support poka-yoke/error-proofing solutions.
Support continuous improvement activities across the manufacturing operation.
Identify and update quality documentation, standards and work instructions.
Participate in System, Process and Product Audits following appropriate training.
Work closely with Production and Quality teams to identify quality issues and improvement opportunities.
Produce quality reports and documentation as required.
Carry out and support calibration of test and inspection equipment.
Provide product and quality-related training to operators where required.
About You The successful candidate will ideally have:
Significant experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment , preferably automotive.
Previous experience in Quality Control .
Experience and training in Internal Auditing and Quality Core Tools .
Knowledge of CMM measurement .
Experience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) .
Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques.
Experience with Melt Flow Index Testing would be advantageous.
Experience with calibration of test and inspection equipment.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word .
Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
The ability to work effectively with Production and other cross-functional teams.
