They are looking for a Lead Project Engineer/PLC Programmer to join the team and lead the delivery within the water sector. The Role They are currently seeking a Lead Project Engineer/PLC Programmer with strong expertise in PLC programming, particularly using Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation) platforms, to join their dynamic and growing project team. They will play a vital role in delivering industrial automation solutions, supporting the development of PLC-based control systems. Key Responsibilities • PLC programming using Rockwell/Allen Bradley platforms (e.g., RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000). • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle. • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and health and safety regulations. • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality control system solutions. • Produce clear and accurate technical documentation and specifications Required Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience with PLC programming, ideally Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley platforms. Proficiency with tools such as RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and associated HMI/SCADA systems. Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems. Excellent documentation skills and the ability to write clear, accurate technical specifications. Strong communication and team collaboration abilities. Full UK Driving Licence and eligibility to work in the UK. Additional Requirements EUSR and Thames Water Passports: Please let us know if you already hold these. If not, we can provide training. Rockwell Automation Certification : Ideally, candidates will hold a valid Rockwell course certificate. If not, we are open to sharing the cost of this training (1-day course, approx. £500) on a 50/50 split basis. This is a valuable certification to enhance your CV and future opportunities.
