We are looking for a Lecturer - Course leader - Plumbing to join our dedicated teaching team and deliver high-quality training across both practical workshops and classroom-based learning. In this role you will undertake all core teaching, learning, assessment, and curriculum development responsibilities associated with the Lecturer role, while also providing academic leadership and operational oversight across designated programmes within the Further/Higher Education provision.

About the role:

  • Prepare engaging teaching and learning materials for a range of plumbing subjects.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that support the needs of individual learners, maintaining accurate attendance and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Set, assess and record coursework and assessments to support student achievement.
  • Provide academic guidance and pastoral support, making referrals to specialist services where appropriate and contributing to student reports.
  • Play an active role in shaping and developing course curricula and specialist facilities.
  • Build and maintain strong links with employers and external organisations.
  • Continually update your own professional knowledge and skills within the plumbing and education sectors.
  • Promote and uphold the College's policies on Safeguarding, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, College Values, and Health & Safety.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required to support the department and wider college community.

Essential Experience:

  • Plumbing industry experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team management, decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide others.
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Teaching or delivering training experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification/ completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course.
