About the role
Lead Support Worker
Full time - 37.5 hours per week
Colchester, Essex
Full UK driving licence with own car essential.

As a Lead Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred support. Using approaches such as Activate and Active Support, you'll help set and achieve personalised goals, recognising opportunities for growth in everyday moments. You'll also provide practical support with daily routines, including personal care, medication, meal preparation, shopping and maintaining a comfortable home environment, always ensuring individuals feel respected and in control of their support.
Alongside your direct support responsibilities, you'll play a key role in developing your team. You'll coach and mentor support workers, share best practice, provide thoughtful feedback and help foster a positive, inclusive team culture. You'll contribute to support reviews, drive continuous improvement and ensure all practices align with Dimensions' values, policies and regulatory standards. Building strong relationships with families, circles of support and colleagues will be central to your success.
Flexibility is essential in this role. As a Lead Support Worker, you'll work across all five homes in the Colchester area, covering a range of shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
This role may also be recognised in other organisations as a Senior Support Worker position.
