Contract type: Full Time 40 hours per week

Rate: Up to £13.27 per hour

Do you take pride in your cleaning standards and attention to detail? As Head Housekeeper, you’ll ensure that our home is clean and welcoming for the people who live and work here. You’ll be responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring a comfortable environment for the people we support. You will lead the brand new Housekeeping Team in our new state of the art purpose built home. You’ll have the chance to really make your mark.

About the role

Our Head Housekeeper plays a key role in leading all daily and weekly cleaning routines of their Housekeeping Team, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out cleaning schedules with your team, including dusting, mopping, polishing and vacuuming
  • Overseeing your team’s cleaning of all areas, including residents’ rooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices
  • Building trust and promoting choice, dignity and independence.

You’ll put our people at the heart of everything you do whether that’s hoovering our residents’ bedrooms or polishing their photo frames. We can guarantee that whatever you bring to the role, you’ll see great rewards. If you haven’t worked in the care sector before, we’ll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy, and ongoing training programmes.

You don’t need any specific qualifications to apply for this role, but a good standard of education, such as GCSEs in English and Maths, may be useful. You’ll ideally also have supervisory experience in a similar role.
