The Design Engineer Role:

As a Design Engineer, you will work on multiple engineering design projects from initial concept through to production, contributing to products being delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working on mechanical design and product development projects from concept through to manufacture.
  • Producing detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using Creo.
  • Helping to design new products and develop improvements to existing product ranges.
  • Building and evaluating prototypes to validate product performance.
  • Using in-house testing facilities to support product development.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, production, purchasing and quality teams.

Your background as a Design Engineer:

To be successful you will ideally have:

  • Experience within a mechanical design or product development engineering environment.

  • A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
