THE CLIENT
Our client is an expanding, branch-based trade distribution business with sites across the west of Scotland, adding further branches as part of an active growth plan. It's a business that still operates with a genuinely down-to-earth, straightforward culture despite its growth no corporate layers, just people getting on with the job and being backed to do it well.
THE ROLE
This is a Trade Counter Sales role at the growing Clydebank branch, where there's real scope to make your mark on a site that's still establishing itself. You'll deal directly with trade and walk-in customers across the counter, quoting, advising, and closing sales and where a customer needs something more involved, you can call on support from the wider branch network rather than being left to work it out alone. There's genuine earning potential here beyond the base salary: build the right relationships with regular and walk-in customers and there's a realistic path to a substantial bonus on top of your wage, not a token incentive. No specific product background is required full training is provided, including on the company's in-house design software used to help customers visualise bespoke orders.
ABOUT YOU
You've got experience in a trade counter, builders' merchant, or similar customer-facing branch role you're comfortable across the counter, on the phone, and quoting on the spot. You're personable, straightforward, and good at building rapport with a wide range of customers, from trade professionals to members of the public. You don't need specific product experience in this trade what matters is that you know how to sell face-to-face and want the chance to earn well for doing it.
THE REWARDS
Up to £30,000 basic salary, plus realistic OTE of up to £4,000 through a genuine bonus structure tied to what you sell not a capped or notional figure. You'll also share in a team-based monthly bonus tied to branch performance. Full product and systems training is provided from day one.
This role may also suit candidates with backgrounds as a Sales Advisor, Counter Sales Assistant, or Trade Sales Executive.
