About the Role

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver for a well-established client based in Middleton, Leeds. The role involves delivering doors and flat-pack furniture to builders' merchants and customer sites, completing approximately 10-15 deliveries per day. Doors are generally offloaded by forklift, although some manual handling will be required. The position includes 3-4 nights out per week, with a fridge fitted in the cab for added comfort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver doors and flat-pack furniture safely and efficiently
  • Complete approximately 10-15 deliveries per day
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
  • Complete delivery paperwork and proof of delivery documentation accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
  • Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Maintain high standards of vehicle care and professionalism

Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling where required
  • Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
  • Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
