In this role, you'll carry out materials testing on raw materials and finished products, prepare test samples, operate specialist laboratory equipment, and support quality investigations and continuous improvement activities. The ideal candidate will be a graduate or junior technician with a qualification in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a similar technical subject, who is eager to develop within a specialist manufacturing environment.

The Role:
  • Carrying out materials testing on raw materials and finished products
  • Conducting tensile, hardness, density, elongation, and DSC testing
  • Preparing laboratory test specimens and operating specialist equipment
  • Supporting calibration, quality records, and laboratory documentation
  • Assisting with quality investigations and continuous improvement projects
  • Full training and ongoing mentoring provided
The Person:
  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related subject
  • Laboratory experience through industry, university, or placements beneficial
