People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our client based in Appleton Thorn, Warrington. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Welder, Fabrication Welder, or Metal Worker and are looking to further their career within a manufacturing setting.
Please note: Due to the location of the site, you must have your own transport.
Rates of Pay: £16.44 per hour
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 - 12:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Setting up components and equipment for the welding process in line with job cards
- Preparing materials and setting up jigs to ensure safe and effective assembly
- Reading and interpreting specifications and technical drawings to ensure products are manufactured within tolerance
- MIG welding mild and stainless steel
- Maintaining housekeeping standards, including clean-as-you-go practices
- Working to 5S principles where applicable
Essential Skills:
- Previous MIG welding experience
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good dexterity and strong practical skills
- A logical and methodical approach to work
- Computer literacy and confidence using IT systems within a manufacturing environment
- A positive attitude towards work, colleagues, and management
