Part Time Accountant - Christchurch - £36-40,000 pro rata

A Part Time Accountant is being recruited for a long established family business based in Christchurch. The role is stand alone offering 20 hours a week and whilst these would need to be office based, the company will offer flexibility on how these are worked.

Reporting to the Directors, you will have responsibility for all aspects of the accounts including:

Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Sage 50 Payroll is essential.
Oversee the organisation's bookkeeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Maintain organised records of all financial documents and transactions for audit purposes.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Management accounts preparation, VAT returns
Support the implementation of new accounting systems or updates to existing software to improve efficiency.
Provide detailed financial reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Dealing with bad debt accounts, including disposal of goods where required
Suitable Candidates
Previous experience of preparing management accounts, financial analysis, cash flow, VAT, bookkeeping and payroll is essential
Knowledge of Sage 50, Xero and good Excel.
Experience of systems implementation an advantage
