We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Transport Supervisor at our Chorley site. Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day supervision of the transport team and ensuring an exceptional level of service for our customers.

Location: Drumhead Road, Chorley, PR6 7DE

Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week / 8:00 - 16:30

Salary: up to £32,000.00, depending on experience

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all deliveries are complete and loaded onto the correct vehicle each morning.
  • Ensuring efficient, safe, compliant, timely delivery of orders to customers.
  • Ensuring that communication between departments is ongoing and utilised to maintain an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Supporting when required to ensure overall compliance for all transport related processes and procedures.
  • Supporting when required to ensure all record keeping and data reporting is up to date and meets required standards.
  • Supporting when required to ensure key performance indicators and operational targets are met.
  • Support any new policies and procedures relating to the operational process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full UK driving Licence (HGV Licence desirable).
  • Knowledge of UK transport legislation.
  • Experience in transport or logistics (ideally 3 years plus experience).
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) or IOSH.
