We're currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at The Lodge , located within the beautiful Buckshaw Retirement Village in Chorley.
About the Role As a Kitchen Supervisor , you'll lead by example in delivering a high-quality dining experience for our residents. You'll be responsible for preparing nutritious and appetising meals, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and supporting the daily operation of the catering service. You'll also assist with supervising kitchen staff, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and serving meals to a high standard
Supporting and supervising catering team members
Managing your workload and assisting with kitchen organisation
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food safety
Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation
Supporting other HICA services with catering requirements when needed
Monitoring stock and helping to reduce waste
Pay & Hours £13.02 per hour
28 hours per week
Working on a rota covering 7 days, including every other weekend

About You We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working within a professional kitchen environment
Holds a Level 1 Food Preparation qualification or equivalent experience
Demonstrates excellent food preparation and presentation skills
Has the ability to motivate, support and supervise team members
Understands food hygiene and health and safety requirements
Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently
Is passionate about delivering outstanding service and enhancing residents' wellbeing
