Areas of responsibility:
- Ensuring all required products are in stock and available to pick for customers according to order volumes, forecasting and availability from suppliers
- Forecasting order quantities in line with business need using company systems and MS Excel
- Managing and placing orders
- Expediting orders in line with demand with a customer focus at all times
- Monitoring production availability
- Planning per supplier in relation to MOQ, crates, lead times etc to ensure optimum product availability
- Creating and interpreting reports both for internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in a supply chain or purchasing-related role
- Experience placing orders in a business-to-business environment, using company systems
- Used to handling large data sets
- Mid-Advanced MS Excel experience and ability (tested during interview process) VlookUps, Pivot Tables, formulas, analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy (tested during screening and interview process)
- Prioritisation and time management skills, with a customer-first mentality
- Clear and effective communicator, able to interpret analytical findings and results into meaningful business insights
