North Derbyshire / South Sheffield area £50,000 - £60,000 or day rate equivalent We're working with a well-established, privately owned manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Interim Management Accountant for an initial three-month assignment, with the potential to go permenent.
This is a hands-on role within a growing SME, supporting the Finance Director and wider leadership team through a busy period.
You'll quickly become an integral part of the finance function, taking ownership of monthly reporting whilst helping to improve processes and provide meaningful commercial insight to the business.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys working closely with operations, understands the challenges of a manufacturing environment and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a fast-paced SME.
Key Responsibilities Production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
Month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparation of management information, KPIs and commentary for senior management.
Stock accounting, inventory reconciliations and support with WIP reporting.
Business partnering with production and operational managers to improve financial performance.
Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
VAT returns and support with statutory compliance.
Supporting the year-end audit and preparation of audit schedules.
About You You'll ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, although experienced qualified-by-experience candidates with a strong manufacturing background will also be considered.
You'll have: Previous experience producing full management accounts.
Manufacturing or engineering sector experience ideally.
Strong Excel skills and confidence analysing large volumes of data.
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
The confidence to work independently and build relationships across the business.
The ability to start at relatively short notice.
