Ready to step into a leadership role where you'll genuinely shape the future of a service? If you're an experienced Registered Nurse looking to move away from being tied to the floor every shift, but still want to make a real clinical impact, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

I'm recruiting for a Clinical Lead to join a 40-bed specialist dementia nursing home in Chesterfield. The home provides nursing care for older adults living with dementia, complex mental health needs and age-related nursing conditions. The service has already made significant progress on its improvement journey and is now looking for an experienced clinician who can strengthen governance, support the nursing team and continue raising standards across the home.

This isn't a firefighting role. It's an opportunity to join a service that's moving in the right direction and become a key part of its long-term success.

What's on Offer?
  • £25.00 per hour (£52,000 per annum)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Mainly Monday-Friday, day shifts
  • Predominantly supernumerary role
  • Approximately two clinical shifts per week, with the remainder focused on leadership
  • Clear progression pathway into a fully supernumerary Clinical Deputy Manager position
  • Supportive senior leadership team
The Role

As Clinical Lead, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to provide strong clinical leadership across the service. You'll support and develop the nursing team, oversee clinical governance, monitor standards of care, lead audits, improve documentation and ensure residents consistently receive safe, high-quality care. You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities for improvement, implement change and help build a positive clinical culture throughout the home.

About You

You'll be an experienced nurse who enjoys leading from the front and supporting others to perform at their best. You'll have:

  • Active NMC registration (RMN preferred)
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Unit Manager or Senior Nurse
  • Strong clinical governance knowledge
  • Experience within elderly care and dementia services
  • Previous experience supporting quality improvement or service turnaround is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ambition to progress into senior management
Why Apply?

Opportunities like this don't come along often. You'll be joining a provider that's investing in its people, strengthening its leadership team and offering genuine career progression. Rather than simply maintaining standards, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the service while developing your own leadership career. If you're looking for your next step in elderly care and want a role where your clinical expertise will genuinely make a difference, I'd love to hear from you.
