Responsibilities

  • Management of own client work (including effective communication and assistance with needs where required)
  • Using digital software to complete bookkeeping duties on a daily basis
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate and up to date data is being provided to clients
  • Preparation of financial statements to review status
  • Assist with crypto accounting consulting projects
  • Completion of statutory returns, including but not limited to, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns
  • Accurately present data to clients, where applicable, in the form of bespoke reporting
  • Report to Client and Accounts Manager on a regular basis to ensure smooth operation of compliance team
  • Openness to exploring and adopting innovative tools and platforms.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Awareness of business trends
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Xero/Dext preferred)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Relevant qualifications required - AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent QBE or country equivalent.
