Responsibilities
- Management of own client work (including effective communication and assistance with needs where required)
- Using digital software to complete bookkeeping duties on a daily basis
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate and up to date data is being provided to clients
- Preparation of financial statements to review status
- Assist with crypto accounting consulting projects
- Completion of statutory returns, including but not limited to, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns
- Accurately present data to clients, where applicable, in the form of bespoke reporting
- Report to Client and Accounts Manager on a regular basis to ensure smooth operation of compliance team
- Openness to exploring and adopting innovative tools and platforms.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Awareness of business trends
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Xero/Dext preferred)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Relevant qualifications required - AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent QBE or country equivalent.
