Our client, a successful family business based in Cheltenham, who place their team at the heart of everything they do are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Office Manager to become a key part of the business, providing support to senior management and the wider team. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a well-established specialist supplier within their sector, who pride themselves on working closely with customers across a wide range of industries to provide high-quality products, technical advice and tailored solutions.
The Office Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the office, acting as a trusted point of contact. You will be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, supporting colleagues and stepping in wherever needed. Whether that means helping the buyer, supporting sales, arranging an urgent supply or dealing with customers should the need arise in the absence of a member of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the office and ensure administrative processes operate efficiently
- Coordinate and prioritise office requirements, ensuring deadline and important tasks are completed
- Maintain organised records, systems and documentation
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day HR administration within the business
- Work closely with staff at all levels, providing friendly, approachable and supportive point of contact
- Keep up to date with changes to employment legislation, policies and procedures
- Ensure appropriate records and documentation are maintained
- Support the business owners with general administration, reporting and ad hoc projects
Candidate Attributes:
- Previous experience in an office management, administration or similar role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience of HR administration and employment processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Experience of working in a small or family-run business environment would be highly beneficial
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 3pm
Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience
