Online Art School is looking for a Senior Product & Digital Designer to take ownership of how our platform looks, feels and works. This is a hands-on, in-house role covering the full design lifecycle, from user research and product thinking through to polished interfaces, brand assets and marketing material.
You will be the design voice in the room. Working alongside our product, development and marketing teams, you will help shape what we build next, design the experience our students learn through, and make sure our instructors are presented at their best across the platform and beyond.
This role suits someone who is equally comfortable designing a complex dashboard in Figma and producing a brand asset in Adobe Creative Suite, and who wants genuine ownership rather than a queue of tickets.
Responsibilities:
Product & Experience Design
Design end-to-end user journeys across the platform, from first visit through to course completion.
Design and refine dashboards, workflows and interfaces in Figma, balancing conversion with ease of use.
Translate complex requirements into clear, intuitive screens for both students and instructors.
Produce wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs, and take them through to production-ready handover.
Develop information architecture, site maps and navigation that make a large course catalogue easy to move around.
Research & Validation:
Own user research and usability testing, including interviews and prototype testing with real users.
Use research findings and business metrics to inform design decisions and to explain the reasoning behind them.
Track competitor activity and design trends across e-learning and the wider digital landscape.
Design Systems & Quality:
Build and maintain our design system and component library, keeping patterns consistent across the platform.
Set and hold the quality bar for anything carrying the OAS name, including work produced by others.
Make sure designs are accessible, responsive and SEO-conscious.
Ways of Working:
Partner with product managers and engineers to shape the roadmap and help decide what gets built next.
Use AI tools to speed up ideation, iteration and concept testing, without dropping the quality bar.
Take projects from first sketch to final delivery, working independently and to deadline.
