This is an excellent role for a graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of building services projects.

The Role As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and mixed-use developments.
Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, you'll assist in producing high-quality electrical designs while developing your knowledge of current industry standards, sustainable engineering practices and modern design software.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the design of electrical building services systems including: Power distribution Lighting design Emergency lighting Fire alarm systems Small power installations Security and access control systems
Produce electrical calculations, design drawings and technical documentation.
Support the preparation of specifications and engineering reports.
Assist with developing coordinated BIM models using Revit and Auto CAD.
Attend design meetings, client meetings and site visits with senior engineers.
Carry out site surveys and inspections where required.
Work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, structural engineers and contractors to coordinate designs.
Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards, IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and relevant health and safety legislation.
Assist in delivering sustainable and energy-efficient building services solutions.
Support project delivery while meeting quality, programme and client expectations.
About You We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a genuine interest in Building Services Engineering who is keen to learn and develop within a consultancy environment.
You will have: A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
Some experience within a Building Services consultancy, either through industry placement, internship or graduate employment.
A good understanding of electrical building services design principles.
Familiarity with Auto CAD and Microsoft Office.
Experience with Revit, Amtech, Dialux or Relux would be advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A willingness to learn from experienced engineers and develop professionally.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to work.
Desirable Working towards IEng or CEng professional registration with the IET or CIBSE.
Knowledge of sustainable building design and low-carbon technologies.
An understanding of BIM processes and multidisciplinary project delivery.
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
