About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Plant Team Leader to join a busy and growing recycling operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production, manufacturing, or recycling professional looking to take the next step in their career within a leadership position. As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the plant, ensuring operational targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of operatives on site
- Ensure daily production and recycling targets are met
- Train and mentor new starters, helping them integrate into the team
- Monitor staff performance and encourage continuous improvement
- Complete and maintain all relevant site paperwork and records accurately
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Support the management team with operational tasks and reporting
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation
- Identify and escalate any operational issues promptly

- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, recycling, or waste management environment
- Experience supervising or leading a team
