We are currently recruiting suitably qualified, competent and experienced Skilled Shuttering Joiners & Steel Fixers to work across various sectors of Civil Engineering and in particular exciting opportunities in the Water Sector. With contract works throughout Lancashire & Cumbria this presents an opportunity to join one of the UKs leading multi discipline Civil Engineering and Building Contractors in our Northern England division. A competitive hourly rate will be available dependent on skills and experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure all joinery / shuttering and steel fixing tasks are carried out and completed to the required specification, quality assurance, safety and environmental standards.
- To ensure that joinery/shuttering and steel fixing tasks are completed within the allocated timescales.
Essential:
- Skilled Shuttering Joiner and/or Steel Fixer
- Blue CSCS Card
- Twelve months experience within the construction industry.
- Competent in a wide range of formwork shuttering systems (Joiners)
- Able to read construction rebar drawings (Steel Fixers)
- Range of specific skills for the job, such as the use of manual and mechanical equipment, tools and machinery
- Safely use all power and hand tools saws, drills and other machinery
- Good communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Highly motivated and able to use own initiative when required.
Desirable:
- Experience in either Energy or Water Sectors
- Twenty-four months experience in a similar role.
- High level of technical competency partnered with an eagerness to add to knowledge and skills.
- Strong determination and a good work ethic.
- Commitment to continued professional learning and development.
