Revised Recruitment Group is recruiting a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join the team at a Special School in Cardiff. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for the entire academic year, supporting children and young people aged 3-19 with a range of additional learning needs in a highly inclusive and nurturing environment. The school specialises in supporting pupils with autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN).
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and personal development.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Help deliver engaging, personalised learning activities.
- Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, care or support settings.
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach.
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional learning needs or a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), or eligibility to register.
