Brook Street are currently recruiting for an Operational Support Officer to join a busy and important public sector organisation within the justice system. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth running of court services while gaining valuable experience in a professional and impactful environment.
The Role
This is a varied and engaging position combining administrative responsibilities with hands on court support. You will play a vital part in ensuring court proceedings run efficiently and that all participants are supported throughout the process.
Key duties include:
- Supporting the preparation and smooth facilitation of court hearings
- Aiding court users, legal professionals, and stakeholders
- Responding to enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Carrying out general administrative duties
- Following complaints procedures where necessary
- Managing courtrooms and ensuring they are set up correctly
- Acting as a point of contact within the court, including ushering duties
- Supporting juries, judiciary, and members of the public attending court
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same, offering a unique insight into the justice system.
