We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering business for an experienced Service Manager to lead a UK-wide field service team supporting industrial manufacturing plants. This is a hands-on management role, ideal for someone who has progressed from an electrical or mechanical engineering background into service leadership.
You'll be responsible for:
- Planning engineers
- Managing customer relationships
- Producing quotations
- Driving service excellence across a varied customer base in sectors including automotive, aerospace and advanced engineering
- Managing service operations
- Scheduling engineers
- Preparing quotations for remedial and small works
- Leading small projects
What you'll be doing:
- Managing and developing a UK-wide team of Field Service Engineers
- Planning service schedules and coordinating customer requirements
- Producing quotations for service, remedial and small project works
- Carrying out customer site visits and identifying additional work opportunities
- Leading small projects from enquiry through to completion
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience managing or supervising a field service engineering team
- Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering background
- Experience within industrial manufacturing, process plant, automation, capital equipment or similar environments
- Able to prepare quotations and commercially identify additional works
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK when required
