We are recruiting for a Store Manager for our Cambourne store! Are you able to manage and motivate teams to increase sales? We put all pets' health and well-being first. All our teams receive extensive training from Hannah Molloy of Channel 4's Puppy School to give all our customers and their pets the very best and most up-to-date advice. With 26 stores all open 7 days a week for all pet needs from raw feeding and natural deli treats to hay and rabbit food. As passionate pet people, Just for Pets have a genuine desire to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers and their pets across our 23 stores. So, whether they’re shopping with us online or in-store, our friendly and knowledgeable teams are here to help.

Job duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, presentation standards and stock management in whatever store you are based in on a given day.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
  • Train and supervise store team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service, standards, and advice.
  • Monitor stock levels as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including cash handling, health and safety, and security protocols.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities to drive sales.
  • Work closely with the wider Head Office team.
  • Ensure that the core people processes such as probation, absence management, holiday management is carried out in a timely manner.

Required Skills:

  • Retail management experience in a previous role, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and manage store operations efficiently.
  • Proven track record in sales management, including the ability to analyse sales data and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a team of employees.
  • Ability to effectively manage resources, including inventory, budgets, and labour.
