Night Support Worker
Salary: £12.87 £14.03 per hour (based on competency & qualifications)
Plus: £25 night supplement per shift
Contract: Permanent Full Time or Part Time (Full?time: 40 hours per week / Part time: 33 hour or 22 hour contracts available)
Shift pattern : 8:45pm 8:15am, includes working every other weekend
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Night Support Workers to join a residential childrens home, supporting children and young people with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs.
This is a waking night role, where you will provide consistent, high?quality care throughout the night, ensuring safety, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
You will:
Provide exceptional care for children and young adults
Support bedtime routines, including washing and changing
Encourage healthy sleep patterns where possible
Carry out regular checks throughout the night and respond to any needs
Ensure medical needs are met, including administering and recording medication
Maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment
Carry out light housekeeping tasks during quieter periods
Participate in personal care routines and physical intervention when required
The heart of this role is building trust, communicating effectively and supporting young people to develop greater independence.
