Senior Mechanical Engineer Our client is a well-established engineering business operating within the fuel handling and processing sector.

They design, manufacture, and supply specialist fuel transfer, filtration, and refuelling equipment to customers worldwide.

About the Role They are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team.

Reporting directly to the Engineering & Technical Manager, this is a varied, hands-on role that combines mechanical design, project management, customer liaison, supplier management, and technical leadership.

The successful candidate will take ownership of engineering projects from initial specification through to manufacture, testing, delivery, and commissioning.

This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead projects from design through to manufacture, testing, dispatch, and commissioning.

Work with customers to finalise technical specifications and project requirements.

Prepare quotations and support the sales process for systems projects.

Produce manufacturing and fabrication drawings.

Specify, source, and procure project components and materials.

Raise purchase orders and manage subcontractors and suppliers.

Produce and manage project documentation on time.

Ensure all projects and products comply with applicable engineering standards and industry regulations.

Create and maintain CAD drawings and engineering documentation Maintain technical approval documentation including ATEX, PED, CE, and related certifications.

Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Engineer Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience working within a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of piping systems, fluid flow, and pressure characteristics.

Experience producing manufacturing and fabrication drawings.

Experience with fabricated pipework systems.

Knowledge of pumps, control valves, metering systems, and filtration equipment.

Experience with ATEX, PED, CE marking, and related compliance requirements.
