What you’ll do:

  • Support with daily living, personal care and choices, putting customers' needs first.
  • Work with team, clinical colleagues and families to create and follow support plans.
  • Recognise their strengths and abilities and help them take small steps at their pace, never losing sight of their dreams and aspirations.
  • Use Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion through person-centred support.
  • Spot changes in health or mood, act quickly, and work with others to keep everyone safe.

You have:

  • Experience in a Complex Care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or are prepared to work towards it.
  • Worked as a Support Worker, supporting people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress.
  • A flexible, person-centred approach, identifying each customer as unique and adapting to their needs.
  • Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.
  • Makaton, but that’s not a deal breaker!

The practical bits:

  • Permanent, part time (30 hpw). You'll work two 15-hour shifts on a 7-day rota with sleep-in shifts paid in addition to salary (£50 per sleep-in shift).
  • Able to use technology to create and update support plans, communicate with colleagues and complete online learning.
  • We’ll make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support.
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check, we pay for it.
