About the Buyer Position

The Buyer will serve as a focal point for contract management, leading projects and nurturing key supplier relationships. This Buyer role is perfect for someone ready to work autonomously whilst collaborating effectively across multifunctional teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Buyer Role

  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships across commercial programmes
  • Lead cross-functional coordination with design, programme, quality, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Negotiate pricing and drive cost reduction initiatives
  • Manage the Call For Tender (CFT) process and provide strategic recommendations
  • Contribute to procurement and supply chain strategy development
  • Update pricing information in SAP and release Purchase Orders as required

What We're Looking For

  • Procurement experience or strong business acumen with procurement knowledge
  • Commercial, contract, or finance knowledge
  • Excellent stakeholder management and internal customer focus
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in English
  • SAP experience (basic level useful)
  • Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes
  • Team player mentality with adaptability and integrity

Role Details

  • Location: Filton, Bristol
  • Contract Duration: Until August 2027 (possible extension)
  • Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, 4.5 days (7am - 7pm, flexible)
  • On-Site Requirement: 80% onsite
  • Pay Rate: £35.33 per hour (Umbrella) / £26.41 per hour (PAYE)
