Area Sales Manager Commercial Boilers Job Title: Business Development Manager Commercial Boilers Industry Sector: Commercial boilers, pumps, flues, heat exchanges, plant rooms, wall hung boilers, floor standing modular boilers, M&E consultants, M&E contractors, local authorities, plumbing and heating contractors and plumbing and heating merchants Area to be covered: North and Scotland Remuneration: Up to £45,000 Neg. + £10,000 Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Car + Comprehensive Benefits The role of the Specification Sales Manager Commercial Boilers will involve: Field sales position selling wall hung boilers and floor standing modular boilers and accessories 80% retrofit projects/ 20% new build 80% new business development, 20% account management Following up on Barber ABI leads, but our client receives commercial boiler leads for contractors and plumbing & heating merchants daily so little cold calling Inheriting an area that has achieved 110% if target for the last three years Approximately a third of this time will be spent gaining specifications with local authorities and M&E consultants (longer term projects) A third of your time will be spent with M&E contractors, plumbing & heating contractors / installers Final third of your time with national and independent plumbing & heating merchants such as Wolseley, Plumbase Industrial, and Plumb Centre Industrial etc. (90% of the boilers are sold through merchants) Targeted purely on commercial boilers sold you will be expected to sell approx 80-100 wall hung boilers and 20+ flooring standing boilers in your first year Average order value wall hung boilers approx. £11,000, free standing modular boilers starting from £3,000-£4,000 Typical projects will include; schools, offices, hotels, nursing homes etc. The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Commercial Boilers with: Ideal background would be from a commercial plumbing and heating field sales background and sold technical commercial plumbing & heating products through M&E Ideally sold associated products to boilers such as; pipes, pumps, flues, heat exchanges, plant rooms, fittings, water heaters, biomass boilers or heat pumps / renewable energy New business hunter, with an attitude of being prepared to fight for every deal (not rely on brand recognition) Ideally prior experience of winning specifications with M&E consultants and local authorities, managing relationships with M&E contactors/ plumbing & heating contactors & Installers as well as back-selling through plumbing and heating merchants (must have at least 2 of these 3 routes to market) Stable career history Strong character/ no order takers Work ethic and get up and go The Company: Est. 35Years Circa £50m+ turnover 80+ employees Privately held, part of a larger group Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: commercial boilers, domestic boilers, wall-hung boilers, floor standing modular boilers, water heaters, hot water solutions, continuous flow hot water, water systems, hot water systems, storage tank, plant room, pipes, pumps, flues, heat exchanges, solar thermal, gas water heaters, twin flow, heat pumps, heating radiators and associated plumbing and heating products TPBN1_UKTJ
