Our client is a highly established and successful construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments across the North West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint either an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project teams, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial delivery of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cost reporting and budget management
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
- Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks
- Preparing interim valuations and applications for payment
- Assisting with monthly CVRs and commercial reporting
- Variations, change control and final accounts
- Liaising with site teams, clients and subcontractors
- Supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects
Requirements
Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying role
- Experience working on new build housing projects
- Degree qualified or working towards a Quantity Surveying qualification
- Strong commercial awareness and willingness to develop
Project Quantity Surveyor:
- Proven experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong background delivering new build housing developments
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
