Junior Quality Engineer Our client a precision engineering client based in Burnley are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer.

This will have a view to become the Quality Manager within a 3 to 4 year plan.

We are looking for a motivated Junior Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced team.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to inspect, test, and ensure our products meet the highest industry standards.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with quality management systems, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes.

Key Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of engineering components and assemblies.

Assist in conducting root-cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.

Help maintain, update, and audit quality management system (QMS) documentation (e. g., ISO 9001 standards).

Collaborate with production and design teams to identify defect trends and prevent quality issues.

Prepare inspection reports, defect logs, and calibration records.

Requirements & Qualifications Bachelors degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related Engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

Basic understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Experience with standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); exposure to ERP systems or CAD software is a plus.
