I am currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join a client of mine based in the Burnley area, initially on a 3 month FTC basis, but there could be a longer term opportunity for the successful candidate. My client is looking for an experienced HR generalist who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced, commercially minded organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, delivering practical people solutions that support business objectives while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic People Partnering
    • Partner with leaders to understand business priorities and workforce needs
    • Provide commercially focused HR advice that supports operational success
    • Support organisational design, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives
    • Identify people-related risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Employee Relations
    • Lead complex disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management cases
    • Coach and support managers through employee relations matters
    • Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
    • Minimise legal and employee relations risks across the business
  • Talent & Performance
    • Support succession planning and talent development activities
    • Drive performance management processes and continuous improvement
    • Identify capability gaps and support learning and development initiatives
  • Data & Insights
    • Analyse key people metrics including turnover, absence, engagement, recruitment, and retention
    • Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership teams
    • Produce regular HR dashboards and reports to support decision-making
  • Organisational Change
    • Support change programmes, restructures, and consultation processes
    • Advise on employment law implications and best practice
    • Manage communication and employee engagement throughout periods of change

This is a true generalist role ideal for someone operating at the BP / Senior HR Advisor level, experienced in dealing with operational HR issues.
