An established leisure facilities operator is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to support the delivery of maintenance and hard facilities management services across leisure centres.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically qualified professional with mechanical, electrical, or building services experience who enjoys a varied role combining planned maintenance, reactive repairs, contractor management, and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across leisure facilities.
Manage a team of managers and technicians to deliver a wide range of support services Carry out routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Undertake and coordinate minor reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric disciplines.
Act as a first responder for maintenance-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
Liaise with and oversee specialist contractors undertaking servicing, inspections, and repair works.
Support the preparation of maintenance specifications and scopes of work.
Assist with contractor evaluation and selection processes.
Work closely with operational management to identify and resolve maintenance requirements.
About You To be successful, you will have: City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical Building Services, or a related building trade.
Practical experience within facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills.
