Location: Buntingford, Hertfordshire (SG9 9ER)

Pay: £18.00 per hour (CIS)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Preferred shift: 1:00pm - 10:00pm

Alternative shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm (for candidates unable to work late shifts)

Start Date: Immediate

We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Welder Fabricators to join a busy manufacturing workshop in Buntingford. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, skilled fabricators looking for ongoing work with a well-established company.

Working within a specialist fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality steel components and assemblies, ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and to specification.

Key Responsibilities
  • MIG welding and fabrication of steel components and sub-assemblies
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Setting out, drilling, cutting and preparing materials
  • Operating workshop machinery including saws, drills and welding equipment
  • Inspecting fabricated assemblies to ensure they are level, square and within tolerance
  • Grinding and de-burring finished products ready for powder coating
  • Completing quality assurance paperwork as required
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Reporting any defects or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Team Leader
  • Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
  • Assisting with training new operatives where required
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator
  • Good MIG welding experience
  • Experience using workshop machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience with manual fabrication processes
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
