Are you a reliable Class 2 (Category C) Driver looking for a fantastic opportunity with a well-established waste management company? We are currently recruiting Class 2 Dustcart Drivers to join our client's friendly and professional team based in Buntingford. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly passed Class 2 drivers looking to gain valuable driving experience while enjoying a great work-life balance with early starts and early finishes.

The Role

As a Class 2 Dustcart Driver, you will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle on planned routes throughout the local area. You will work as part of a 3-person crew, collecting household and commercial waste safely and efficiently while providing an essential service to the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) dustcart vehicle.
  • Complete scheduled waste and recycling collection routes.
  • Work closely with loaders to ensure collections are completed efficiently.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Adhere to all road transport legislation and health & safety procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
  • Ensure all collections are completed within agreed timescales.

Requirements

  • A valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
  • A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • To be physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safe working practices.

Newly passed Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply. Full support will be provided to help you settle into the role.
