We are currently recruiting for a Sales Office Manager for a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Bromsgrove. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales, Technical Sales or Sales Office professional who is looking to take responsibility for both customers and a small internal sales function. The role would suit someone with a combination of engineering knowledge, internal sales experience and people management skills.
The successful candidate will become a key point of contact for customers, handling enquiries and supporting the wider sales team.
The Role of Sales Office Manager:
- Acting as the main point of contact for customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders.
- Handling technical customer enquiries relating to engineering products.
- Providing a high level of customer service and technical support.
- Overseeing and supporting junior members of the internal sales team.
- Working closely with external sales colleagues and other departments.
- Managing multiple enquiries and priorities within a busy office environment.
- Taking responsibility for office supplies, stationery, petty cash and general administration.
- Ensuring customer enquiries and orders are dealt with accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Helping develop and maintain an efficient and professional sales office function.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience within internal sales, technical sales, sales support or customer service.
- Ideally, a background within engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong customer liaison and communication skills.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or managing junior staff.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
