Brockenhurst College is looking to recruit a permanent, part time Lecturer in Sport & Uniformed Public Service (UPS) . In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £33,367 - £44,365 per annum (pro rata). (Unqualified teachers £26,436 to £33,367 per annum (pro rata)).

The Lecturer in Sport & UPS Role:
As our Lecturer in Sport & UPS, you will continually improve the learning experience and achievement of students through effective teaching & learning.
Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Sport & UPS:
Teach on courses as agreed with the Director of Faculty, Curriculum Leader and the Curriculum Coordinators
Act as Course Coordinator, if requested.
Prepare and mark student work, monitor progress towards individual targets, keep records, IV and provide timely reports/reviews to students, parents, employers and College managers, as appropriate.
Work closely with other colleagues to respond to the needs of students.
Pay due attention to the principles of inclusive learning including:
extension resources/activities for students of higher ability;
general resources, including the use of Information Learning Technology;
Support for student with learning difficulties and disabilities
Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum.
Contribute to the teaching/learning resource bank including e resources for the relevant subject/courses.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in the relevant subject/course.
Develop and maintain effective external links related to the delivery of the subject/course and represent the College at relevant meetings.
Organise and participate in relevant visits, field trips, both in the UK and overseas.
Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, including Enrolment/Open Events and Parents' Evening, as appropriate.
Advise and assist the Curriculum Leader and other team members in all matters related to the delivery of subject specialisms.
As our Lecturer in Sport & UPS , you'll ideally have:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification
Appropriate teacher training qualification (or working towards this)
Excellent teaching skills
Able to manage learners and learning effectively
Able to develop effective learning resources
Knowledge and understating of current developments in the relevant curriculum area
Supportive and positive approach to teaching and learning
Effective team player
Good administrative and organisational skills
Able to meet tight deadlines and handle pressure and a range of demands
