Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative, FLT Driver for our client's site, which produces a wide range of own-label chilled sauces and soups for major UK retailers.
No current FLT licence?
No problem!
If you have 12 months of FLT driving experience, our client will provide in-house refresher training , making this an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to return to FLT work.
Staffline is recruiting FLT Drivers in Bristol.
The rate of pay is: - Days £13.90 per hour - Nights £14.90 per hour
This is a full-time role working 4 on 4 off , and the hours of work are: - 6am to 6pm - 6pm to 6am
You will not always be sitting in the FLT seat; the position is mainly warehouse work.
FLT will be as and when required.
Some days will be for FLT tasks, others will be more picking tasks.
Your Time at Work
As an FLT Driver, your duties include
- Working in a fast-paced warehouse, handling deliveries, storing goods, picking orders, managing waste, and following FIFO for stock rotation.
- Accurately receiving and recording goods using scanning systems, checking quality and expiry dates, labelling items, and separating allergen materials.
- Receiving and storing finished products in the despatch area using system tracking tools.
- Picking, packing, wrapping, and labelling customer orders, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely loading of vehicles with proper documentation.
- Using PPE correctly, maintaining equipment, and reporting any issues.
- Following food hygiene and health & safety standards, keeping work areas clean (CAYGO), and adapting to schedule changes.
- Following company procedures, reporting issues, attending training, supporting new staff, and continuously improving safety and efficiency.
- Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will have good English and maths skills.
You will be an excellent team player, show great attention to detail, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Previous FLT driving experience is required.
A current FLT Counterbalance licence is not essential, as successful candidates will receive in-house training and refresher support where required.
This role would suit candidates whose FLT licence has expired, those returning to FLT work after a career break, or experienced warehouse operatives looking to refresh their skills and develop their career.
