We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background to join a leading technology and consulting environment, working on complex transformation programmes across a variety of sectors. This is a great opportunity for an architect who enjoys staying close to engineering while taking ownership of solution design, technical direction and senior stakeholder engagement.
The role includes:
- Creating and assuring key architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers and key design decisions
- Working closely with engineering teams, often acting as the lead technical SME
- Defining technical vision and establishing architectural guardrails
- Supporting senior stakeholders with cases for change, cost estimation and detailed planning
- Working across multiple architectural domains, including Business, Data, Application, Technology and Security
- Working across varied projects, clients and technology stacks
What we are looking for:
- Strong hands-on Software Engineering background
- Experience leading engineering teams delivering applications and services
- Proven Solution Architecture experience
- Strong understanding and practical application of architecture and delivery methodologies
- Ability to operate across architectural domains, with deeper expertise in at least one area
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Confident working with multiple technical and business stakeholders in fast-paced environments
Experience may include:
- Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Architecture: TOGAF, Zachman, MODAF
- Delivery: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban
- Modelling: UML, ArchiMate, Ardoq
- Wider platforms including Oracle, IBM and Salesforce
