We are recruiting four experienced Site Managers to lead an accelerated retrofit and cladding replacement programme across four high-rise residential blocks in central Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist contractor delivering capital and retrofit programmes within the social housing sector, with particular expertise in high-rise and high-risk buildings.

Each Site Manager will take accountability for one to two of the tower blocks, overseeing project teams and works partners to deliver compliant, high-quality works on time and within budget.

The Project is delivered on behalf of a local authority client, and the four high-rise projects will be enclosed using tube and fitting scaffold or mast climbers to enable removal and replacement of existing render systems and brick slips. The scope also includes:

  • Progressive removal and reinstatement of multiple MEP services alongside façade replacement works
  • Enhancement and replacement of roof level cappings and lightning protection systems
  • Enhancement and refreshment of existing landscaping and ground works

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to project teams and works partners
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management
  • Lead and monitor project strategies to support the company's sustainability objectives
  • Identify and manage commercial risk
  • Build excellent relationships with client representatives, consultants and other stakeholders
  • Develop strong relationships with the supply chain
  • Recruit, train, develop and retain high quality site staff
  • Provide technical support and advice to the client and project team
  • Ensure a robust strategy is in place for managing complaints and defects
  • Drive quality throughout the project lifecycle, with zero defects as the target on handover

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Experience delivering capital works and larger scale projects through subcontract/supply chain arrangements
  • Experience managing multiple projects, including works to mid and/or high rise, high risk buildings: external façade systems, roofing, fire remediation and protection systems, structural works, groundworks, concrete repairs, internal refurbishment, etc.
  • Extensive end to end site project management experience in a similar environment
  • Pre-construction and construction experience
  • UK driving licence
  • SMSTS and sound knowledge of safe systems of work
  • Scaffold inspection competency
  • Role appropriate CSCS card
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification

Desirable:

  • Social Housing/ HRB Construction experience
  • Retrofit/capital works experience
  • Experience delivering retrofit projects to PAS 2035 or similar standards
