Are you an experienced security cleared Service Designer looking to lead the design of complex, end-to-end services supporting critical missions?
We are looking for a security cleared Service Designe r to join a growing UCD team, providing human-centred, evidence-based design leadership across multidisciplinary delivery teams.
You will lead service design activity throughout the full DDa T lifecycle, from Discovery through to Live, helping shape both how users interact with services and how those services operate behind the scenes.
What You'll Bring
SC cleared currently
Strong expertise across the DDa T Service Design lifecycle.
Proven experience delivering end-to-end service design.
Ability to create service artefacts at multiple levels, from user journeys and blueprints through to wider service ecosystems.
Strong evidence-based design capability, including insight synthesis, problem framing and prioritisation.
Experience working within complex, multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, product, policy and business functions.
What You'll Do
Lead service design activities across Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live.
Produce service maps, user journeys, service blueprints and end-to-end service models.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to align user needs, business objectives and technology constraints.
Provide professional advice on service design approaches, risks and opportunities.
Coordinate service design activities to meet time, quality and business expectations.
Facilitate workshops, co-design sessions and decision-making forums.
Use research, evidence and insight to frame problems, prioritise opportunities and influence decisions.
Contribute to planning, strategy and roadmap discussions.
Support the development of service design capability and mentor more junior team members.
Experience coordinating service design delivery across multiple phases and teams.
Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting other Service Designers.
Experience within defence, government or other regulated environments.
Exposure to operational service management, including ITIL, SLAs and support models.
Knowledge of adjacent disciplines such as User Research, Business Analysis, Product Management and Interaction Design.
