Project Engineer
Location: Portishead
Salary: £60,000 to £68,000

An opportunity has opened for a Project Engineer to join an engineering company based in Portishead. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background working on mechanical biased projects and will have experience within the design and manufacture of heavy lifting equipment.
The company have a long list of benefits with opportunities for hybrid working but they also require someone that is happy to drive to sites on occasion. You will need to have experience in a client facing position as this is key for the role.
Project Engineer Key Skills:
Experienced in project engineering / management
Experience with heavy lifting equipment design and manufacture
Preferably mechanical or structural biased
AutoCAD design knowledge ability to read engineering drawings
Experience of calculations and FEA would be a bonus
Full UK Driving License for site visits
CSCS card holder
Any crane, mobile crane experience would be a bonus
Excellent communication experience including client / customer facing background
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Creating engineering solutions for heavy lifting projects from concept to delivery
Speaking with clients to take specifications down and updating with progress
Visiting sites to ensure projects are moving smoothly
Developing and reviewing drawings, calculations and risk assessments to ensure projects match the spec
Ensuring quality and H&S assessments are conducted
Liaising with construction and engineering teams, keeping in line with timelines
