The Role Working as part of the Operations Team, on a 3 shift rotating pattern including nights (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am), the successful applicant will be highly motivated, focused and driven, demonstrating a positive 'can-do' attitude and appreciation of the importance of safety, together with excellent self-organisation and motivation skills. We are looking for applicants who are great communicators, with the ability to support a drive for continuous improvement in both productivity and reducing wastage, whilst fully complying with the site's Health & Safety culture.
Previous experience within a manufacturing process operation is preferred, but full training will be provided. Previous experience driving a forklift (FLT), truck, HGV, or clamp truck is essential. It is expected that the Production Operative will be able to train in multiple areas, to assist in building our multi-skilled and flexible team.
Tasks and Duties:
- Operate the designated machine in line with its technical requirements and related best practices and methods to secure its optimal utilisation and cost and quality effective outcome.
- Continuously focus on the quality of the delivered raw materials (board, ink, glue) as well as manufactured finished goods through the monitoring and reporting of any discrepancies encountered.
- Follow the established quality control policies and procedures in terms of production flow and work organisation.
- Fulfil all the requirements in relation to the production and quality reporting.
- Keep the workstation clean and tidy.
- Keep control over the designated machine in terms of its operational condition and perform all designated maintenance duties and responsibilities associated with the machine.
- Communicate updated information to the respective Team Leader of any maintenance related issues on a designated machine.
- Actively seek and take the opportunities to learn the production process and to broaden person's knowledge base on conversion-related issues.
- Ensure sign-off all the required Safe Working Systems before beginning the specific operation/task.
- Follow all of the Health and Safety regulations respective for the specific workstation as well as the general company requirements and report on any hazardous discrepancies that need corrective actions.
