You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of staff across multiple sites, acting as the key link between operational teams, management and clients. The role will also involve reviewing site reports, monitoring completion of works, identifying issues and ensuring any actions are followed through promptly.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing people remotely and across multiple locations, travelling extensively throughout the UK and working flexibly around operational requirements, including nights and early mornings when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of cleaning teams operating across multiple UK sites
  • Travel nationwide to carry out regular site visits, inspections and team meetings
  • Ensure all contractual KPIs, SLAs and service standards are consistently achieved
  • Monitor the quality of completed work and ensure it meets client expectations and company standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits
  • Manage and support staff across sites, providing direction, feedback and day-to-day supervision
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, conduct and overall staff performance
  • Identify performance issues and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Review reports, photographs, completion records and other documentation submitted by site teams
  • Ensure all scheduled works are completed correctly and within agreed timescales
  • Follow up on incomplete, poor-quality or outstanding works and ensure they are rectified
  • Act as a point of contact for operational staff and escalate issues to senior management where appropriate
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and ensure their expectations are consistently met
  • Respond to client concerns and ensure issues are resolved promptly and professionally
  • Monitor the use, condition and availability of equipment and materials across sites
  • Ensure teams comply with company procedures, health & safety requirements and site-specific rules
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork, site reports and compliance documentation are completed accurately
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality and team performance
  • Support the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of operational staff where required
  • Provide regular performance updates and operational reports to senior management
  • Ensure a consistently professional company image is maintained across all client sites

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to identify problems quickly and take ownership of resolving them
  • Confident communicating with both operational staff and clients
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing reports and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email and reporting systems to monitor site activity
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights, early mornings and weekends where operationally required
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and stay away from home when required
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Previous experience within the cleaning or facilities management sector is highly desirable
