Omega are supporting a growing specialist maintenance and building services provider in their search for a Multi-Skilled Builder / Roofer. The successful candidate will join an established team delivering reactive maintenance and general building works across a diverse portfolio of commercial, education, industrial and retail environments. The role will involve a mixture of roofing repairs, building maintenance and general construction works, making it ideal for a versatile tradesperson who enjoys variety and working across different sites. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business that can offer long-term stability, regular work and opportunities for development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive roofing repairs including diagnosing and rectifying roof leaks.
- Undertake general building maintenance works across commercial, education, industrial and retail sites, including paving, slab laying, repairs and external building works, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard of workmanship.
- Work collaboratively as part of a wider team of mobile engineers and maintenance professionals.
- Accurately complete job documentation and provide updates on completed works and any follow-on requirements.
- Travel to client sites throughout the Midlands and South of England, with occasional periods working away from home.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience within general building maintenance, roofing or multi-skilled construction environments.
- Ability to carry out a broad range of reactive building repairs and maintenance works.
- Experience fault finding and repairing leaking roofs would be highly advantageous.
- Competent in general building tasks including paving, slab laying and external repair works.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements on client sites.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.
